The First Update
I’ve gone down the rabbit role of ATProto Lexicons and I’m hooked. Before I thought I would have to deal with my posts not having true POSSE capabilities due to the lack of canonical URL, but that’s not the case anymore!
What you’re reading now is a standard.site document. It includes basic metadata like the name of the post, content (which can be markdown for future rendering like I’ve done here), and even a path! This lets you:
- Post once through a client (in my case, an admin page on my website)
- Syndicate everywhere through the standard.site schema
At any point someone could do a query on all documents under this schema, see this post, and when they click on it, they won’t go to Bluesky. Instead they’ll end up on this page, viewing the post on my site.
This rocks 🔥
